Mane unconcerned by big price tag

Cape Town - Liverpool forward Sadio Mane says he feels no pressure or expectation to perform at Anfield following his big-money transfer on a five-year contract.

Mane has impressed immediately for Jurgen Klopp's side this pre-season after his £34m switch, and is set to feature against Chelsea in the Reds' International Champions Cup match in Pasedena on Wednesday night.

The Senegal international feels he just needs to stick to the basics, and the performances that brought him to the club will be replicated on the field of play.

"It's football isn't it? That's the game these days," the 24-year-old told the Liverpool Echo.

"The thing for me is not to focus on the fee. I just have to focus on what I can do in the games and in training."

Mane scored 25 goals and registered 14 assists in 75 games for Southampton in his two seasons at the club.
