Liverpool star Sadio Mane says he will "understand" if the Reds are denied a long-awaited Premier League title due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Talking to talkSPORT, the Senegalese international said: "I want to win the games and I want to get the trophy, it's what I would love.
"But with this situation, whatever happens I will understand.
"It has been difficult for Liverpool, but it has been more difficult for many millions of people around the world. Some people have lost family members and that is the more complicated situation.
"But for myself, it's my dream and I want to win it this year. If that's not the case, I will accept, it's part of life. Hopefully we will win it next year."
Although Jurgen Klopp's side hold a huge 25-point lead in the standings Mane admitted that he didn't feel like a champion yet.
"I think not yet. I love my job and I love football, I want to win on the pitch."
Udinese sporting director Pierpaolo Marino on Tuesday said the Premier League will release a statement confirming an end to the 2019/20 season.
"The Belgian Federation has already sanctioned the end of their league, despite the threats of sanctions from UEFA," Marino told Sportitalia.
"In England, the Premier League is about to release a similar statement, because the situation there is becoming very, very serious. I frankly just hope we can enjoy football again after the coronavirus.
