Manchester City sign Peruvian youngster

Premier League giants Manchester City have reportedly signed South American youngster Kluiverth Aguilar.

The 16-year-old's Peruvian side, Club Alianza Lima announced that an agreement had been reached for the right-back.

He is said to have joined the club for an undisclosed fee but will only link up with the Citizens in May 2021.

A Peruvian under-23 international, who has made just nine senior club appearances, Aguilar expressed his delight at the move.

He told the club's official website: "Going to City is too big in my career, I am happy that the club noticed me.

"It is a club with extraordinary players.

"My goal is to become an outstanding player in the first team. I am a fan of the team and I am proud to defend their colours.

"I am glad that this possibility of emigrating to Europe presents itself to me as an Alianza player."
