Cape Town - Valencia midfielder and Portugal international Andre Gomes has hailed Manchester United's decision to appoint Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
The Red Devils are reportedly interested in signing the playmaker and will undoubetdly have taken note of his praise for their new boss after Gomes labeled the former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager as a great coach.
However, the player admitted he would not make any decisions about his future until his international duty with Portugal at the European Championship in France had concluded.
"Mourinho is a great coach, there is no doubt about that, but for now my future is left to one side," Gomes told Plaza Deportivain an attempt to squash the reports.
According to reports from The Sun, the player has been valued at around £30million, with United reportedly willing to meet the Primera Division side's asking price.
"I am not at all concerned with what will happen after the European Championship, I look forward to the tournament starting," he concluded.
Portugal play their final warm up game ahead of the Euros against Estonia on Wednesday before kicking off their tournament against Iceland in Group F on June 14.
