Manchester United have reportedly not given up on signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho in the next transfer window.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday claimed that "it will be so difficult" for Manchester United to get Sancho because Dortmund feel little need to lower his price too far.

Romano adds that Dortmund are "relaxed" as their thought process is that "in one year we will see if someone has got the money".

There have been claims of Dortmund demanding as much as €150 million for Sancho, which considering the current situation, seems completely unrealistic.

However, German publication SportBild (via Sport Witness) still think a deal is firmly on with the Red Devils to 'lure' Sancho to Old Trafford with the famous No. 7 shirt waiting in the wings.

Man United will look to build an 'international brand' around Sancho and it's 'a plan that is extremely flattering to the style and fashion-conscious youngster'.

United 'absolutely want to sign' the 20-year-old with SportBild adding that Dortmund and Sancho think a 'serious offer' is on the way.

Dortmund’s 'last hope' of hanging onto Sancho would come if Man United failed to qualify for the Champions League this season.

That comes after Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc teased United, Chelsea and other clubs over Sancho.

"There is no new stance. At the moment, all clubs are running on sight – even in England!" Zorc said.

"I cannot and do not want to lean too far out of the window with forecasts because the situation is changing daily. We will see what happens.

"We have a long-term contract with Jadon Sancho. This will not change now. We are totally relaxed about it.

"The most important issues that are currently occupying us are rather: what is the way forward? When do we play again?

"It would be of paramount importance for all of us to be able to finish the season soon."
