Luke Shaw signs new five-year deal at Man United

Cape Town - Defender Luke Shaw has signed a new five-year deal at Manchester United worth a reported £160 000 a week, according to reports.

According to reports, The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a huge new deal that will see him earn upward of £150 000 to mark a stunning turnaround at the club.

Shaw's deal was signed on Thursday and is expected to be announced by the club ahead of their trip to Chelsea at the weekend.

The England international spent two chastening seasons at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho who had publicly criticised the player, especially about his fitness on numerous occasions.

Shaw had previously said that he would not be considering a new contract extension until he felt he had earned it with an upturn in form now leading to his new contract.
