Liverpool's Klopp dismisses Bale transfer rumours

Cape Town - Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that while he likes Gareth Bale "a lot", he will not pursue a move for the wantaway Real Madrid forward.

The Wales international looks set to depart the Bernabeu after falling out of favour with boss Zinedine Zidane, who recently said it was "best for everyone" if Bale left.

Bale has been linked with a move to China, with his wage demands seemingly putting off Premier League and European clubs.

Liverpool have been heavily linked, but again it seems as though the finances involved are too much for the Reds and they will not be making a move.

"Bale is a Real Madrid player and if he leaves it will be outstandingly expensive and big wages," said Klopp.

"He is an outstanding player, I like him a lot, but it is not about him.

"You have to create a team. A team is not a collection of the best individual players, they have to work together."

Bale's agent has said his client will not leave unless the move is right for him and, as things stand, there is a good chance he will be starting the season at the Bernabeu.
