Cape Town - Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has joined Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan deal, according to the Anfield club's official website.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper made six first-team appearances for Jurgen Klopp's outfit in all competitions last season, following a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers 12 months ago.
Bogdan will spend the 2016-17 campaign at the DW Stadium following Gary Caldwell's side promotion to the Championship last season.
Commenting on the signing of the goalkeeper, Wigan manager Gary Caldwell told his club's official website: "When we found out Adam was available, it was a move I really wanted to push through.
"He has great experience and will add immense competition for both Jussi Jaaskelainen and Lee Nicholls, which is what you need to drive the club forwards.
"He obviously knows Jussi from his time at Bolton, he knows the area, the training ground is familiar to him and I’m sure he will be a great addition to the squad."
