Cape Town - Liverpool have successfully fended off interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs to secure the services of Fulham starlet Harvey Elliott, according to reports.
Elliott became the youngest player to ever appear in the Premier League when he came on as a substitute against Wolves in May this year, and the Reds are keen to get him on board.
There is plenty of interest in the 16-year-old with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig all keen, but Liverpool appear to be in the box seat to do a deal.
Elliott is reported to have turned down the opportunity to stay with Fulham, who have offered him a scholarship, and will head to Anfield after the two clubs agreed a significant compensation package.
If Liverpool do take him they will not be able to sign him to a professional deal until he turns 17 next April, but they are keen to complete the deal now due to there being so much interest.
