29' Free-kick for Liverpool following a challenge from Herrera on Coutinho. The two exchange a few words as the game suddenly heats up. But the free-kick is straight towards de Gea.
27' Possession so far...
Liverpool 58%-42% Manchester United

FULL TIME: Tactics won the day, United won their point. De Gea kept United in the game which finishes 0-0. Thank you for joining us.
SUBSTITUTION: Young is brought off for Shaw as Mourinho looks to waste more time.
BOOKING: Fellaini becomes the fourth United player in the book for a hack at the heels.
There will be 3 minutes of added time at Anfield.
BOOKING: Ibrahimovic is booked for a late clash with Can.
SUBSTITUTION: Liverpool make a double change. Divock Origi comes on for Roberto Firmino, who was struggling with a bit of cramp. Alberto Moreno replaces James Milner at left-back.
Valencia with a match-saving challenge! Firmino looked to be clean through but a heavy touch took it away from him.
With 10 minutes remaining, Man United win their first corner. Blind's out-swinger picks out Fellaini but his effort is headed wide.
SUBSTITUTION: Wayne Rooney enters the fray! Marcus Rashford is the player to give way.
The referee stops play after a nasty, but accidental, collision between James Milner and Rashford. Both players are receiving treatment.
CHANCE! Best of the game! A devilish strike from range from Coutinho is unbelievably saved by De Gea who gets a hand to it to stop the ball going into the top corner. What a block!
Smalling does well to intervene after a one-two between Coutinho and Lallana which nearly saw the England midfielder get a shot away in the area.
STAT: Man United have had just 34% possession in the 2nd period. Much better stuff from Liverpool.
SUBSTITUTION: Daniel Sturridge is taken off for Adam Lallana, who makes his return from injury.
Great save from De Gea, who gets a strong right hand to Can's effort. The German midfielder bulldozed his way in the area but couldn't prod passed the goalkeeper. Fantastic save.
Chance for United! Pogba does brilliantly to cross far post for Zlatan but the big striker's made a big mess of that, heading backwards. That should be 1-0.
A heart in mouth moment for Karius who fails to deal with a back pass, squaring his clearance straight at Pogba. The midfielder plays in Zlatan who is flagged offside.
SECOND HALF: We're back underway for the second half. No changes for either side at the break.
HALF TIME: A stalemate at the break, with neither side having any clear cut chances. Hopefully we'll see more action rather than tactics in the second period.
BOOKING: Ashley Young gets a yellow for suggesting to the referee should book Jordan Henderson. You're not the referee, mate!
There will be 1 minute of stoppage time at the end of the first half, which United have had the better of.
BOOKING: Bailly gets the first yellow of the match for tripping Sturridge, although the England international went down softly.
Liverpool have grown into the match, though their final ball is still lacking.
Clyne and Mane combine well down Liverpool's right with the fullback making his way into the area. Young slides in to disposes Clyne and Liverpool win a corner.
Anthony Taylor has a job on his hands here as United's high pressing sees them give away 2 or 3 quick free kicks. First fiery moments of the match are emerging.
Chance! Liverpool's best moment of the game sees Henderson cross to the far post where Firmino heads toward goal. The effort lacks any power, however, and is an easy catch for De Gea.
Rashford puts in a dangerous cross from the right which bounces just ahead of Karius, who gets a touch on it to divert it away from danger.
Can strikes from way out but fires his shot into the Anfield Road End.
Liverpool aren't doing themselves any favours as poor first touches and sloppy passes see them struggle to keep any meaningful possession.
Zlatan strikes from outside the area after working some space for himself, his shot is kindly deflected for Karius who claims easily. United have definitely made the better start here.
Pogba has a shot from range, but it's high and wide. Poor effort.
There's a high intensity to the match, with neither side wanting to make an error. United have had the ball in more advanced positions, but neither goalkeeper has been tested yet.
The first attacking set peice goes United's way. Ibrahimovic takes the free kick, deciding to shoot from long range. His shot is one of the worst you'll see all season. It's probably still rising.
Manchester United's tactic early on is clear: Press Liverpool and don't give them any time or space on the ball. Every time a man in Red gets possession, he's quickly closed down by a United opponent.
Marcus Rashford gets a talking to after going in hard and late on James Milner. Another one like that and the youngster will be in the book.
KICK OFF: And we're off! An incredible rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone is bellowed out by the Anfield faithful.
The sides are making their way out onto the Anfield pitch. Kick off will follow shortly.
Jose Mourinho makes two changes to the Manchester United side. Marouane Fellaini and Ashley Young are selected ahead of Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard. Luke Shaw is named among the substitutes while Martial misses out altogether.
Adam Lallana is only fit enough for the bench. Gini Wijnaldum fails to recover from a hip problem. Daniel Sturridge and Emre Can come into the starting XI.
Liverpool XI: Karius; Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner; Henderson, Can; Coutinho, Firmino, Mane; Sturridge.
Man Utd XI: De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Blind; Fellaini, Pogba; Rashford, Herrera, Young; Ibrahimovic.
