Leicester still in the market for players

Cape Town - Leicester City vice chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha reveals the club is prepared to continue spending money if they find players to improve their squad.

The Foxes lost N'Golo Kante to Chelsea during the off-season, but have strengthened their squad with five signings, including striker Ahmed Musa, midfielder Nampalys Mendy, goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler, defender Luis Hernandez and winger Bartosz Kapustka.

Additionally, the club has managed to tie down key players Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez with new long-term contracts in the face of intense interest in both players from clubs around England and Europe.

"Several of our players made long-term commitments to the club during the summer months and I'm delighted," Srivaddhanaprabha told the Leicester Mercury.

"I'm already excited by the strength and vibrancy of the squad and we are ready to make to make further investments if the right opportunities arise."

Leicester opened their Premier League with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Hull City, but managed to pick up their first point of the season over the weekend by battling to a 0-0 draw with fellow title hopefuls Arsenal.

They welcome Swansea to the King Power Stadium on Saturday, looking to pick up their first win of the season and kick-start their title defence.
