Cape Town - Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Raul Uche on a four-year deal from Rayo Vallecano, effective from July 1.
The Premier League champions fought off competition from a host of clubs to sign the 18-year-old, who will join his new team-mates once pre-season training starts next month.
Uche becomes the Foxes' second Spanish addition following the capture of centre-back Luis Hernandez from Sporting Gijon earlier this month.
The highly-rated teenager revealed his delight at joining Claudio Ranieri's side and detailed how his move came about in Spanish newspaper AS.
"I like the Premier League. Leicester fits the profile, they are hard-working," he said. "I think I will adapt well. My style of play is more like English than Spanish football. I have a more physical game.
"Until recently, I did not know much. My agent told me there was someone from England but I did not know the team. When I found out, we went over and decided to sign for them."
