Cape Town - Leicester City have announced the signing of Germany international Ron-Robert Zieler from relegated Bundesliga outfit Hannover 96 on a four-year contract.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper joins the Premier League champions for an undisclosed fee and will provide staunch competition for the number-one jersey as the Foxes prepare to participate in the Champions League next season.
The former Manchester United player made 36 appearances in all competitions in the 2015/16 campaign, and has represented Germany at various age levels.
"It feels great coming to Leicester and joining the club after they've had such a great season - it's really nice to be part of the club now," Zieler told Foxes Player HD.
"I've been shown around the training ground and it looks very good and I've been to the stadium - I heard about the great atmosphere and the great fans, so my first impression is very good."
Zieler will link up with some familiar faces at Leicester, having played alongside Danny Drinkwater, Matty James, Danny Simpson and Ritchie De Laet in Manchester United's youth system between 2005 and 2008.
He made his senior debut for Germany in 2011 and his six caps to his name.
