Cape Town - Aymeric Laporte says Manchester City
will be looking for revenge when they face fierce rivals Manchester
United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The Red Devils came from two goals down to beat the Citizens 3-2 the last time these two sides faced each other.
And while Pep Guardiola's City have been growing from strength to strength since then, Jose Mourinho and his charges have been stuttering along somewhat.
Inconsistency has been a problem for United this season, but they come into this game on the back of a run of three wins, including a 2-1 come-from-behind Champions League victory over Juventus this week.
The Premier League champions have won ten of their last 11 games, only dropping points in a 0-0 league draw with Liverpool.
Ahead of this weekend's game, Laporte told Sky Sports: "There's always a feeling of revenge any time you lose against any team.
"We are always ready to compete and need to take advantage of the good momentum of the team at the moment.
"It's a very important match for two reasons ... because it's the Manchester derby and also because if we win we will put distance between ourselves and them in the table."
City will move 12 points clear of Utd with all three points on Sunday.
