Kosovan official says Klopp wants Rashica at Liverpool

The president of the Kosovan Football Federation has claimed that Liverpool are eager to sign Werder Bremen midfielder Milot Rashica.

A report on Weser-Kurier, cited on Sport Witness, claimed that the 23-year-old's performances in the Bundesliga in 2019/20 have caught the eye of both Jurgen Klopp and Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl and both managers are now considering moves.

Rashica has scored 10 and assisted five goals in the top flight of German football this campaign despite his side's struggles, with Bremen currently sitting 17th and in real danger of being relegated to the 2. Bundesliga.

He's also scored four goals in 25 appearances on the international stage for Kosovo and played the full 90 minutes as his country were beaten 4-0 by England last November.

And now Kosovan official Agim Amedi has confirmed Liverpool want Rashica, along with German outfit RB Leipzig.

"There are many requests for him," Amedi told Syri TV.

"I know that Liverpool in the Premier League wants him, but also Leipzig in the Bundesliga. I am sure that he will be advised in the best way to make his decision."

The price tag on the player is €38 million, which is the release clause which has been set in his current contract, although that must be triggered by the June 15, otherwise, Werder will be able to attempt to negotiate a higher fee.
