Cape Town - Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane is confident Jose Mourinho is the right man to re-establish the club as a footballing powerhouse.
Mourinho signed a three-year deal on Friday, replacing Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford after the Dutchman failed to qualify for UEFA Champions league.
Despite admitting the former Chelsea manager still gets under his skin the Republic of Ireland assistant coach feels he is a worthy candidate to get United back to their glory days.
"He was always going to be a good option when United didn't qualify for the Champions League," he told ITV Sport.
"He was available, fantastic CV and it seems like a good fit, but maybe he is not for me.
"He is not my cup of tea. I found him really irritating when I coached against him, but that is just a personal thing, but working at Man United is all about winning and his CV will tell you he is a winner."
