Cape Town - Watford centre-back Christian Kabasele has warned his team-mates against complacency after winning four consecutive games to get their Premier League season underway.
The Hornets beat Brighton, Burnley and Crystal Palace before a shock 2-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday, which placed Javi Gracia's side third in the standings, level on points with Liverpool and Chelsea.
Kabasele was delighted with the way they defended against Spurs at Vicarage Road but has urged his fellow players to stay focused and continue working hard.
"Obviously we defended quite well - but not only the back four - the whole team did well," the 27-year-old told the club's website.
"We need to keep this spirit, because - the manager said this as well in the pre-match talk - we can beat anyone, but we can also lose against anybody. We need to keep going."
After the international break, the Yellow Army welcomes Manchester United to Hertfordshire as the Premier League resumes on Saturday, September 15.
