Juventus to offer Costa plus cash in Pogba deal

Cape Town - Juventus are looking to include Brazil international Douglas Costa in their offer for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, according to reports in Italy.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from the club and was quoted over the weekend as saying that he would be open to moving on in search of a fresh challenge.

Real Madrid and Juve are the two clubs who are in the hunt to do a deal and the latter is said to have come up with an offer that they hope could win the day for them.

United have been linked with Costa in the past and Reds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also said to be keen on the versatile attacker, who joined Juve on a permanent basis last summer after impressing on loan.

The Bianconeri are now ready to offer United Costa in an attempt to bring the cash outlay, which could be as much as £160million, down to an affordable level.

One worry for United is the fact that Costa did miss a lot of action last season with a troublesome hamstring injury and they may not risk taking him.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
