Cape Town - Manchester United could force an early press conference of the unveiling of Jose Mourinho as their manager.

After several attempts by the Red Devils to keep details about Mourinho succeeding Louis van Gaal quiet, news finally broke when Sport24 reported that the Portuguese has agreed to become the new manager of the club.

According to The Dailymail, there is a possibility that Mourinho would have to wait until the end of the European Championship to have his first presser as United manager.

Mourinho has media commitments with the 10th Soccer Aid charity match next week which could force the the club to bring the official announcement forward.

However, United have not confirmed nor denied any of the rumours making rounds and now the club is in a rush to make an official announcement.

The 53-year-old is set to manage a celebrity England side which will be staged at Old Trafford on June 5.
