Cape Town - Jorginho's agent has revealed that the Chelsea midfielder will always have the desire within him to one day return to Italy.

The former Napoli star followed the ex-Azzurri boss Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge and has since found himself to be a key figure under current manager Frank Lampard.

Jorginho came in for some criticism for his early form at Chelsea but he has now adapted well to the English top flight and is one of the first names on the team sheet for Lampard.

Chelsea endured a tough start to the season but have started to put a winning run together and currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League table.

There has been some speculation regarding Jorginho's future at The Bridge since Sarri moved on to pastures new with Serie A champions Juventus.

Jorginho has been linked with a move to Turin and his agent Joao Santos has now suggested a return to Italy could be a possibility in the future.

"It has certainly been a positive year for Jorginho," he told Radio Sportiva. "He is doing well for the Nazionale and can take part in the Euros. He always converts his penalties, I am very happy for him, as he is working so hard every day.

"I think Jorginho can do very well at the Euros and, why not, also at the next World Cup," he continued. "As for a return to Serie A, anything is possible. He will always feel the desire to come back home."

Chelsea, who are on a run of four consecutive victories in all competitions, are next in action after the international break when they play hosts to Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

The Magpies have had a tough start to the Premier League campaign and currently sit just one point above the relegation zone ahead of their trip to the capital on Saturday.
