Cape Town - Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho was delighted that he was able to contribute two goals in his side's convicing 4-0 victory over Stoke City on Saturday.
Impressing for the Citizens against the Potters, the Nigerian youngster was pleased with his performance but also added that he owes a lot to his teammates and manager Manuel Pellegrini.
"I am very pleased and I am very happy to score goals," he told ITV. "I thank my teammates and my manager for helping me achieve this."
Continuing the praise of Iheanacho, City goalkeeper Joe Hart lauded the teenager for his efforts this season and hopes he can continue producing the goods.
"He (Iheanacho) has been brilliant," Hart said. "When he turned up last pre-season somewhat unknown.
"He's really worked hard and got stuck in and he’s got a lot of belief in from the manager if I am honest. He's a brilliant part of our squad and we are really proud to have him.
"He's come in through our youth system and is really important and shows how good a good we’ve got."
