Cape Town - Robert
Huth says that Leicester City's impressive run of results was always on
the cards once his team got into the habit of taking the lead.
The defending Premier League champions overcame their hosts West Ham, by three goals to two on Saturday, with Huth himself, in amongst the goals.
The win is the Foxes' third in three league matches and sees them pull a comfortable six points clear of the relegation zone.
“Absolutely awesome,” Huth - who scored his team's second goal - told reporters after the match.
“We were due an away win, so it’s good to come back with the three points," he said in reference to his side's first three-pointer away from the King Power Stadium in 11 months.
“I always felt we just needed to get 1-0 up in a game. It happened against Liverpool. Since then, we’ve been getting 1-0 up and we haven’t been beaten. Long may it continue," the German defender added.
"It’s something we’ve done all season – once we go ahead, we don’t tend to lose games. It was something we wanted to achieve today and we managed it."
