Howe praises Ibe's development

Cape Town - Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been impressed by the improvement winger Jordon Ibe has shown this season and believes he has more potential to unlock.

The 22-year-old joined the Cherries from Liverpool in July 2016 but had a quiet first season in the Premier League with no assists or goals, despite making 25 appearances.

However, the former England U21 international has made more of an impact in the top-flight this campaign. In 27 Premier League games he has scored two goals and provided six assists.

"Jordon is in a good place. His numbers this season have been good. He has got on the scoresheet a couple of times in big games," Howe told the Daily Echo.

"His assist numbers have been very high. He is producing the numbers and has shown his promise of last season has developed further.

"I think if he continues to develop in the future, we will have a very good player on our hands."
