Cape Town - Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been impressed by the consistent contributions of centre-back Nathan Ake this season.
The 23-year-old joined the Cherries on a permanent deal in the off-season, following a six-month loan spell at the club in the 2016/17 campaign, and has quickly established himself in the heart of their defence.
The Dutchman has become a key member of the Bournemouth squad since signing a five-year contract from Chelsea, and Howe is delighted to have a player of his quality in the team.
"I think Nathan has been a model of consistency. He is a great character with a great temperament," Howe told the Daily Echo.
"He trains very well every day and has the mentality to want to be at his best, whether it is a five-a-side or a training drill.
"I think you have then seen that come out on the pitch. He has been excellent for us and I am delighted with his contribution."
Ake has made 28 Premier League appearances this season, scoring two goals and producing two assists.
