Cape Town - Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has denied that star forward Joshua King may depart from the English Premier League club at the end of the season.
The former Manchester United trainee has impressed for the Cherries in 2017, with 12 goals in 17 games - which has led to reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur over the past few weeks.
However, Howe was clear with his message when asked about the future of the Norway international and the rest of the first-team players and went on to praise the 25-year-old for his professionalism - since making the move from Blackburn Rovers last season.
"Our vision is very clear for where we want to take the team and what we want to do," he told the Daily Echo.
"I have made it clear several times that we need to keep our best players and I have the backing from everybody within the club to do that.
"His professionalism when he first came into the club struck me, Joshua looked after his body and displayed an incredible appetite to improve. He was coming in on his days off when he wasn't in the team.
"He would do extra finishing sessions and was pushing himself to find the next bit in his game he needed to work on," he added.
"You don't get instant rewards. He has done these things since he joined us and it is paying off now."
Bournemouth next welcome Burnley to Dean Court in an English Premiership clash on Saturday.
Kick off is at 16:00.
