How Twitter reacted to Rooney's record goal

Manchester - Wayne Rooney became Manchester United's record goalscorer on Saturday when his last-gasp strike at Stoke took him past Bobby Charlton's tally of 249.

Rooney's landmark moment triggered plaudits from across the sporting world as stars took to Twitter to hail the 31-year-old striker:
