Cape Town - Former Leicester City striker Emile Heskey has backed Jamie Vardy to rediscover his goalscoring touch this season.
Vardy has only found the back of the net twice this campaign, a far cry from the player who scored in 11 consecutive games during the Foxes' title-winning run last term.
Heskey feels it's just a bit of a confidence issue and once the England international starts scoring again, the goals will flow once more.
"Goals-wise he's struggling but performance-wise he's not," Heskey told Goal. "The goals have dried up a little bit but I still want him to get in the box and create chances for himself and for others.
"He's getting in the right areas. He just needs something to come off his backside or his toe and go in and take it from there. That's how he'll get his confidence back.
"He's still playing with the intensity and willingness as he did when he was scoring all those goals last season. He's just not finishing off the chances he's getting. He's got to take those chances."
