Cape Town - Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes that Liverpool are better than his former team this season and second only to Manchester City.
While the season started with a renewed spirit of confidence at Old Trafford, three losses inside a week have plunged the red half of Manchester into despair.
It is of course very early in the season and there is plenty of time for Mourinho and company to turn things around but Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will be buoyed by their victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Friday.
While Hargreaves is impressed with the Anfield outfit's start to the season he feels they won't win the league.
"They [Liverpool] are the second best team I've seen so far this season, Man City is by far the best team but I think Liverpool are second," said Hargreaves on BT Sport.
"They press the ball and work incredibly hard so even in games that they#39;re not at their best footballing-wise the energy and pressing like they showed the Emirates [earlier in the season] helps them to win games that Arsenal probably wouldn't win.
"Arsenal aren't pressing the ball at the moment and United aren't pressing the ball at the moment, so because of that identity I think they have a chance to be in the top four.
"But they won't win the league."
