Gunners to have derby hangover?

Cape Town - A home match for Arsenal ... and not one taker for a victory by the Gunners among the Sport24 tipsters.

That may be some sort of summary of broad, bleak sentiment around Arsene Wenger and his charges these days, even if old enemies Manchester United will hardly be obvious Premiership rollovers on Sunday.

Probably fuelled by memories of Tottenham's comfortable derby triumph over Arsenal last weekend, three of the panel envisage a Red Devils win (even if Jose Mourinho opts to go in under-strength) and the other four forecast a draw.

As for Chelsea, a full house understandably sees the leaders prevailing pretty easily against deeply embattled Middlesbrough on Monday ...

Each round of the 2016/17 Premiership campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results - do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial; he swears the Championship is more competitive), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Maano Nekhavhambe and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.
