Guardiola insists Aguero will remain at City

Cape Town - Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that star striker Sergio Aguero will stay at the club for next season.

The Argentina international scored a staggering 33 goals this season, including 20 in the Premier League and five in the Champions League.

City supporters have been concerned about Aguero's future, especially after Gabriel Jesus's arrival at the Etihad Stadium, but Guardiola has stated that the forward will continue at the club next term.

"He will be here next season. Happy? Good. Perfect," Guardiola said, according to the Daily Mail. "How many times have I answered that question about Sergio and Vincent Kompany.

"I am not repeating. They are players for Manchester City and will be at Manchester City next season.

"We have to provide him with better solutions to not only score more goals, but he has done his job really well."
