Cape Town - Despite a difficult start to life at Chelsea in terms of results, Deadline Day signing Olivier Giroud has insisted he is enjoying life at the Blues.
The French striker joined from Arsenal at the end of the January transfer window and has since scored once in eight appearances for his new club, including four starts. During his time at the club, the Blues have lost to Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League and picked up just six Premier League points.
However, according to Goal, Giroud said: "I am very happy about how I've adapted to Chelsea. I've been very welcomed there.
"I feel great and have a special relationship with the number 10 playing behind the front striker, whether it is Eden [Hazard], Willian or Pedro. I felt great right from my first game. I was decisive."
Giroud admitted that his form dipped in the matches that followed, but explained: "You've got to remember that it's not easy changing teams in the winter transfer window, and then to quickly adapt to a new team. But it was my choice and I don't hide behind anything."
Chelsea will return to action on Sunday, when they will pick up again after the international break with a crucial home fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.
Kick-off is at 17:00 (SA time).
