Cape Town - France
striker Olivier Giroud has been sent back to Arsenal for treatment on a
thigh injury he suffered in the 2-0 win over Wales on Friday.
The 31-year-old started the friendly at Stade de France and scored his country's second goal before leaving the pitch moments later in the 72nd minute.
The French Football Federation confirmed that Giroud has withdrawn from Didier Deschamps squad for Tuesday's clash with Germany and is back in London to undergo further assessment.
The 2017 Puskas Award winner has yet to make a start in the Premier League this season, with all 10 of his appearances coming from the bench, while only getting on the scoresheet once.
Giroud will be considered doubtful for the north London derby visit of Tottenham on Saturday as he waits on news from the Gunners medical staff.
