Ryan Giggs says both Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes were the best player he played with at Manchester United.
Giggs spent almost two and a half decades at Old Trafford in a phenomenal playing career.
The Welshman won 13 Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies, four FA Cups and countless other pieces of silverware, making his first-team debut in 1990 and retiring in 2014.
While he played alongside Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson and David Beckham at points throughout, he believes two former teammates stood out clearly above the rest.
"The best player I played with is Cristiano Ronaldo," Giggs told the MUTV Group Chat.
"Obviously he was only there for a short space of time and he was brilliant for Manchester United and then went on to do even better elsewhere."
Later on, Giggs added: "Scholesy is the best player I've played with at Manchester United. You’ve all seen it in training – you couldn’t get near him.
"His brain was just quicker than everyone else, his range of passing, nasty.
"You think you've got him and he'll just pop it off and give it the little feint. He was just brilliant in training."
Giggs has spent his time in lockdown essentially listing players and teams in the name of football content, and we must praise him for it.
He agreed with Gary Neville that Arsenal were "the toughest team to play against" around the time of their Treble win.
Giggs also revealed the four players never to have received Sir Alex Ferguson's hairdryer treatment.
Ronaldo was also among that quartet, alongside three former captains that "did the stuff on the pitch, so he never felt [like he had to]".
