Foxes unlikely to let Chilwell leave

Cape Town - Manchester City will have to look elsewhere for a new left-back with Leicester City unlikely to sanction a transfer for Ben Chilwell.

Foxes owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has told new boss Brendan Rodgers there is no need to cash in on any of his star players this summer as they build for the future.

City are known to be huge admirers of Chilwell after Pep Guardiola put a new left-back high on his wanted, and reports claim a bid will be made in the summer.

The England international has shown his class for the Foxes this season and would command a huge transfer fee, but it would appear no kind of offer would tempt Leicester into selling.

Guardiola needs cover as Benjamin Mendy continues to be dogged by injuries, and it is no surprise that Chilwell has emerged as a top target for him following some fine performances.
