Sala's dad dies 3 months after son's fatal plane crash

Cape Town - Emiliano Sala's father Horacio has died following a heart attack three months on from the tragic plane crash in the English Channel.

The news was confirmed by a local politician in his homeland of Argentina three months after the Cardiff City striker was killed on board a private jet.

Sala, 28, died along with the pilot David Ibbotson when the Piper Malibu aircraft they were travelling in came down in the English Channel on January 21, two days after Cardiff had signed the Argentinian striker for a club record £15 million from Nantes.
