Emery keen to raid Manchester United for Bailly

Cape Town - Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been tipped to make a move for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly in the off-season transfer window.

Emery has made plugging his leaky defence his top priority of the close season after they conceded another three goals against Wolves in midweek, and Bailly has emerged as a target.

The 25-year-old impressed during his first season at Old Trafford but has since slipped down the pecking order despite United having problems of their own at the back.

Bailly has made just one appearance since the turn of the year and looks sure to be heading for the exit door as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to revamp his United squad.

Emery is reported to have admired Bailly from their time together in Spain when he coached Sevilla and the defender was in the Villarreal side.

It has been suggested that Bailly could be available for a cut-price fee as United look to clear the decks, and the Gunners appear to be at the front of the queue.
