Cape Town - Burnley boss Sean Dyche wants his players to focus on their own performance when they take on Brighton at the weekend.
Despite a run of six games unbeaten in the Premier League, Dyche’s troops are still in trouble and sit just one place and two points above third-from-bottom Cardiff, which proves what a poor first half of the season they had.
Brighton are on their own poor run and have not won in their last five Premier League outings, although they sit five points clear of the relegation places, but Dyche wants his side to focus on their own performance.
“I just see it that we get on with what we are doing, that has always been the clarity I have worked under,” Dyche told the Lancashire Telegraph.
“I look (at the table) but I am not staring at it every day because I know we can take care of ourselves and that is what we have to do.
“We have to keep performing at a high level, we have to stay consistent because if we don’t then we know from earlier in the season that it doesn’t pay you back. But our levels are rising all the time now I think.”
