Cape Town - Barcelona youth product Gerard Deulofeu is determined to make a name for himself at Watford and help them start the new season on the right foot.
The 24-year-old winger spent the latter half of the 2017/18 Premier League season on loan at the Hornets, but only made seven top-flight appearances due to a fractured foot.
However, after making his move from Barca permanent, Deulofeu is back to full fitness and looking forward to giving Javi Gracia's side a winning start against Brighton on August 11.
"We have six weeks of pre-season, but focus is on the first match of the Premier League, so we have to work a lot and be ready for this season because I feel hungry for making a good season," The Spaniard was quoted as saying by the Watford Observer.
"I have played in three leagues, but I know that the Premier League is different. The passion of the football here is amazing. I want to make my space here in the Premier League with Watford.
"We have a good team, we have a great group, so we have to put a lot of work in every day and we have to complete our objective this season."
