The Italy international is a long-time target for Juve and is expected to quit United for the Serie A champions ahead of the new season.
Darmian has struggled for game time at Old Trafford and his agent, Tullio Tinti, is confident of finalising a deal after holding his second meeting with the Bianconeri this week.
Inter Milan are reported to be monitoring the situation closely as they are also interested in signing the 28-year old defender.
Tinti told journalists in Italy: "Progressing very well. We're at an advanced stage with Juventus."
