Cresswell hoping to transfer England form to Hammers

Cape Town - England full-back Aaron Cresswell is determined to take the positivity from the national team's recent success and convert it into points for West Ham United.

The Three Lions claimed a 1-0 win over Lithuania in their World Cup qualifier on Sunday to finish their Group F campaign unbeaten and top of the standings.

Cresswell hopes England's success can follow him to the London Stadium as West Ham aim to turn their season around. The Irons are down in 15th position in the Premier League after seven games, and are up against Burnley on Saturday.

“I will take this positive experience back to the club and into Burnley on Saturday. It has been tough at the start but we have had some good results of late," Cresswell said, as quoted by the club's official website.

“Performances have been OK but all the lads will get back together in training this week after the international break. Hopefully, we will kick on again and continue pushing higher up the league.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
