Conte refuses to rule out Italy return

Cape Town - Despite being on the verge of winning his first Premier League title in his maiden season, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed he could return home in the future.

Asked on Italian TV show Emigratis if he would like to again coach in the Serie A, he responded: "Yes. My heart is always in Italy."

Conte, who most recently managed Italy, after guiding Juventus to Serie A success in 2012, 2013 and 2014, as well as two Supercoppa Italia's, would be an incredible signing for any Serie A club.

One stumbling block would, however, be the Italian's wages, although with both Milan clubs recently being bought by wealthy Chinese owners, they may well be able to match Chelsea's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich going forward.

Inter's new bosses have already pledged that £127million will be available when the transfer window opens in June.

And in response to the question of his wages; referring to the two Milan clubs, Conte replied: "Haven't the new owners come in now?"

About his time at Chelsea, Conte went on to reveal he initially struggled to adapt to London and the Premier League.

"It took me six months to get the English to appreciate me," he said.

Asked if he was happy living in London, Conte replied: "Well..."

The Blues next travel to Goodison Park to face Ronald Koeman's men - who are an outside bet to finish inside the Champions League positions - in an English Premiership clash on Saturday.

The action gets underway at 15:05.
