City in the mix for Barcelona flop Coutinho?

Cape Town - Reports claim Manchester City are one of three clubs considering making a move for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho left Liverpool for Barcelona in January 2018 for a fee which could rise to £142 million, but his time in Spain hasn't gone smoothly.

Barcelona fans are yet to be convinced by the Brazil international, despite scoring 13 goals in La Liga, and he has been widely tipped to leave this summer.

A return to Liverpool has been mooted, however, the Anfield outfit appear to be chasing other targets and that has opened the door for City.

Marca claims Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are also in the running, although the latter may not be able to sign players this summer.

The report states that Coutinho is unwilling to take a pay cut which may rule out a move to the Etihad.
