Cherries to miss key pair for trip to Liverpool

Cape Town - Bournemouth will be without Callum Wilson and David Brooks for Saturday's Premier League trip to Liverpool.

Wilson and Brooks have been integral for the Cherries this season but boss Eddie Howe has confirmed they are expected to remain side-lined for the next month due to knee and ankle injuries respectively.

Howe said at a press conference on Friday: "Callum Wilson and David Brooks are still out, possibly out for around four weeks now."

The Cherries' mentor also confirmed Colombia international Jefferson Lerma, who has been a key first-team member since arriving from Levante last summer, will be handed a late fitness after recently overcoming an ankle problem.

"We are waiting on a fitness test for Jefferson Lerma as well," Howe added.

After losing 2-0 to Cardiff City last time out, Howe may decide to make changes, with the likes of Diego Rico, Jordan Ibe and Lys Mousset pushing for starts.

Kick-off is at 17:00 (SA time).
