Cape Town - Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the verge of agreeing on a new five-year contract, with his wages reportedly set to rise to £180 000 a week.
Chelsea had to hold off interest from German giants Bayern Munich in January, who offered £35 million for the winger.
Hudson-Odoi now looks set to stay at Chelsea after new boss Frank Lampard gave him the first-team assurances that former boss Maurizio Sarri didn't.
The youngster's wage will start at £180 000-a-week but could rise to £200 000 with bonuses, reports The Sun.
The 18-year-old England international is back in first-team training this week after recovering from an Achilles injury that has kept him out of action since April 22.
Lampard revealed the winger is nearing a return to first-team action.
"He's getting closer. He's trained the last week or two with the Under-23s and is looking good," The Blues boss said.
"There is going to be a period of conditioning work for him.
"The injury looks good which is the great news. Then he's going to have to be fitter than he's ever been because I'm going to want him to run."
