'Chelsea know what I want,' says Willian

Cape Town - Chelsea star Willian has made it clear that the club are aware of what he wants and now it's up to them to make the next move.

The 31-year-old Brazil forward's Blues contract expires in the summer and he revealed he has already informed Chelsea of his long-term intentions.

Chelsea have tended to employ a policy of only offering one-year deals to players aged 30 and older but strayed from that unwritten rule when handing David Luiz, a two-year contract in May.

Willian signed a one-year extension earlier this year and is now keen to commit to Chelsea again.

Asked if Chelsea had made him any offer yet, Willian said: "No, not yet. Honestly, I'm happy here.

"I feel happy to play for this club, but this situation is not in my hands. It's in theirs.

"I wait for them. They know what I want, what I want to do. They already know so I wait for them."

Chelsea should next month learn the outcome of their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over the FIFA transfer ban.

The Blues currently face a two-window transfer embargo relating to signing youth players from overseas.

Chelsea will only be able to make January signings if CAS overturns the FIFA ruling, leaving that outcome pivotal to boss Frank Lampard's plans.

Willian is clear on his own intentions however and is hopeful of extending his west London tenure, insisting he does not want to talk to other teams in January.

"No, I don't want to talk to them because I have a contract until the end of the season," Willian added.

"I am a Chelsea player, but I just want to say the club know what I want to do."
