Cape Town - Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has urged Bayern Munich counterpart Mario Gotze to join him at Anfield next season.
Gotze has been on the periphery of Bayern's first team since arriving from rivals Borussia Dortmund and with incoming boss Carlo Ancelotti not able to assure him of first-team football, the 23-year-old midfielder could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena.
Can feels that being reunited with former Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp could instill some confidence in Gotze which made him one of the finest attacking midfielders in Europe during a two-year spell of dominance for BVB.
"At FC Bayern he is apparently lacking a little confidence - which is understandable when you get so little game time," Can told Bild.
"The step to Liverpool would be good for Mario. Jurgen Klopp has shown this season how much trust he puts in young players."
