Cape Town - Burnley
have strengthened their attack on transfer deadline day with the
signing of Nahki Wells from Premier League rivals Huddersfield.
The Clarets have secured the Bermuda international on a three-year contract. He is, however, still recovering from minor ankle surgery and is only expected back at the end of September.
"Burnley Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Nahki Wells on a three-year contract," the club announced on their official website.
"The Clarets completed the deadline-day signing of the striker, 27, from Premier League rivals Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee."
Wells had been at the John Smith's Stadium since 2014 when he signed from Bradford City, but Terriers manager David Wagner revealed earlier in the current transfer window that he would listen to offers for the striker.
