Buck plays down Abramovich concerns

Cape Town - Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck is adamant owner Roman Abramovich is still committed to the Blues despite his absence from London.

The Russian billionaire, who has been key to bringing success to the west London side over recent years, has not been seen at a game at Stamford Bridge since last May.

Abramovich is thought to be having problems with a British visa and is currently residing in Israel.

Despite all the speculation surrounding the Blues owner, Buck says Abramovich is still extremely involved with the running of Chelsea and the chairman has no concerns regarding the man at the top.

"Everything he's doing reaffirms his commitment to Chelsea," Buck told Sky Sports.

"We hear from him several times a day and he's talking to us about players, commercial activities and our good causes.

"So, I would say he's committed to Chelsea."
