Cape Town - Bayern Munich are linked with a move for Manchester City forward Leroy Sane as they look to replace the likes of Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben in the off-season.
The Bavarians are planning a revamp of their squad this summer and are keen to bring in young attacking talent to replace Ribery and Robben, while James Rodriguez is also expected to return to Real Madrid when his loan expires.
The 23-year-old Sane has struggled for form this season and his attitude has been questioned on more than one occasion after he failed to nail down a regular place in City's starting eleven.
Talks over a new contract have also stalled and that has kicked off reports suggesting that City could be willing to sell if Bayern came in and made a big enough offer.
City splashed out £37 million to sign the Germany international from Schalke and would be looking to make a significant profit on that figure if they did decide to cash in.
It is thought that Sane would also be open to a move to the Allianz Arena and a return to his homeland if Bayern firmed up their interest.
