Cape Town - Spanish champions Barcelona are reportedly preparing an offer for Chelsea forward Willian, with the Brazilian set to enter the final six months of his current deal in January.
Brazil international Willian has been at Stamford Bridge since 2013 when he made the move from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala, and has been a regular first-team fixture over the years.
He has notched over 200 Premier League appearances and scoring 28 goals in the process.
As things stand, the 31-year-old's contract is set to expire next summer and it is unclear whether Chelsea are willing to offer the forward fresh terms, bringing about the possibility of the Ribeirao Pires-born star leaving the English outfit on a free transfer.
Frank Lampard has been happy to give youth a chance this season, handing opportunities to the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Reece James, and the older players in the squad could be moved on in the next couple of transfer windows.
Barcelona, who have made a mixed start to the 2019/20 campaign, have long held an interest in Willian and it was claimed the Catalans failed with a bid to sign the forward in January this year, being knocked back by former Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.
However, it could be second time lucky for the Spanish side and they are in line to get the Brazilian on a free transfer.
It is thought that the Chelsea star is very interested in a move to the Camp Nou and he will be able to talk to European clubs at the turn of the year about a move.
